About Me

Hello! I'm Bailey Hayes, and I'm a sophomore in chemical engineering at Purdue University. I'm involved with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and the running club at Purdue.

I've started this blog as a place to post my assignments for my study abroad trip to Italy over spring break 2018. Hopefully I'll travel in the future and I can keep updating it.

I went on a spring break trip last year and studied Harry Potter culture. I had never left the U.S. before, so I was excited and also slightly terrified, but I loved it and couldn't wait to travel again. I was looking for more honors college study abroad trips when I found the Leonardo da Vinci trip. Da Vinci has always really interested me because his studies were so broad. It's amazing that one person could be such a successful artist and also make so many advancements in science. Also, I've always been interested in going to Italy because of the Renaissance, so I’m really excited about this trip!
